Like a good club, the intention is to build a network of like minded people that want to share and learn from each other in a supportive environment. In a real world club it's easy to meet face to face and build these relationships. Online that is harder, but we want to use the same ideas of building trust because over time this will translate to real world interactions as well. So Miso Club will use a Circles of Trust idea for joining and participating in the club activities, where personal relationships will govern entry into the club and building towards real world interactions, becoming "friends and family". We want to know you, and we want you to know the people around you. When we hold events some will be open to strangers, some for friends of friends, some just for friends and a small number for the Miso Club family. So in many cases you will need an introduction from an existing member to join, and then actively participate to get to know everyone better. :-)
Clubhouse - This level is open to all new members, and its the route into the club for a stranger. You will be able to participate in the Clubhouse discussion boards, and start to build up your social credit within the group. Its all about sharing and getting known.
MisoFriends - This is a level for people who have been introduced into the club by an existing member who will vouch for their good standing. You will have access to an additional level of MisoPals discussion boards and can attend general events.
MisoFamily - This is a level for people who have been in the club for a period of time, have multiple connections within the group, and have built up a reputation for being a supportive, trustworthy and reliable member of the group. You will have access to the Friends discussion boards, and all events including by-invitation-only events. You can also organise and run events as part of Miso Club.
Northey Street Market - Open to anyone to visit, chat and buy products.
Open Workshops and Demonstrations - Open to anyone to attend and learn.
Members only Workshops - Closed to Family and Friends only.
Special Events - By invitation only to Family and Friends.
Our online presence is setup the same way, with a discussion site with levels of access. We are using Discord, which historically is a gamers platform, but is being used now for all sorts of groups and organisations to manage online discussion and information sharing. :-) Don't be put off by the gaming content. Its free to use (just create an account) and has a great client for both PC and mobile devices.
